BREAKING NEWS : Marco Simoncelli dies after horrific accident in Sepang

The Malaysian MotoGP was redflagged four minutes after the start today, when 24 year old Honda rider Marco Simoncelli was involved in a major accident with Colin Edwards and Valention Rossi.

The three collided at turn 11 and Simoncelli’s helmet was knocked off in the process. Colin Edwards wasn’t seriously injured from the collision and Rossi returned to the pits safely. The race officials tired to restart the race after few minutes but called off after the Italian rider was declared dead. Simoncelli won the 250cc class World championship in 2008 before moving onto Superbike segment.
