The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin, No Disqualification match for the WWF Championship, Wrestlemania 15

‘The Great One’ – The Rock and the ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ Stone Cold Steve Austin faced off for the first time in the grandest stage of them all, at Wrestlemania 15 held in Philadelphia. The contest was a No-Disqualification match for the WWF Championship. The Rock defended his WWF Championship in this match which was the main event of Wrestlemania 15. It was a great match between two of the greatest men that have ever graced the Squared Circle during the attitude era. To avoid any undue influence during the match, Shawn Michaels, who was then the WWE Commissioner came out and barred all the Corporation members from ringside. Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated The Rock via pinfall courtesy of his stunner and became the new WWF Champion, defying all odds. However, the rivalry between these two icons did not end here. It continued as they faced off against each other in two other epic Wrestlemania matches.
