Glory Kickboxing - Collision 2 Alex Pereira

What is Alex Pereira's kickboxing record?

Alex Pereira is considered one of the greatest kickboxers to ever live. The Brazilian boasts an impressive record of 33 wins, 21 by way of knockout, and 7 losses. He was also a multi-division champion during his time at Glory Kickboxing. He held the title at both middleweight and light heavyweight before making his transition to the UFC.

'Poatan', which translates to 'Hands of Stone', earned the nickname with some brutal one-punch KOs during his kickboxing days. He also remains the only fighter to have ever knocked out Israel Adesanya and the only man to beat 'The Last Stylebender' twice. The pair are now set to fight each other at UFC 281.

Alex Pereira reacts to Israel Adesanya's 'Frozen' comment

At UFC 276, Israel Adesanya was asked a question about potentially facing Alex Pereira in the ring again. Adesanya was headlining the event against Jared Cannonier and the Brazilian was fighting on the undercard.

In response to the interviewer's question, 'The Last Stylebender' looked at Pereira and said:

"And this time when I put you on skates, imma leave you frozen like Elsa"

The Brazilian did not understand the reference. During an Instagram live after the event, he reacted to Adesanya's comments by saying:

"Hey I've beat you twice already, you know what I mean? Now look, this guy is saying he will freeze me in there. How is he going to do that?"

Alex Pereira and the man who was driving the car during the Instagram burst out laughing. Both Adesanya and Pereira have been going back and forth on social media trolling each other and talking trash. There is a lot of bad blood between the pair that will boil over on Saturday night.
