Cooper Kupp fantasy outlook: Is the Rams WR starting vs Seahawks in Week 13?

Last season, Cooper Kupp was arguably the best player in the NFL. Arguably because apparently only quarterbacks can win the NFL MVP award season by season. However, Kupp won the triple crown, helping the Los Angeles Rams to Super Bowl glory, and there won the Super Bowl MVP.

These are all things few wide receivers manage in their entire careers, let alone in a single season. As such, a lot was expected of Kupp heading into the 2022 NFL season, but things are yet to go to plan for Sean McVay's side.

First, Kupp has been battling injuries, playing through the pain until week 9, when he suffered a potentially season-ending ankle injury. As such, Kupp was forced to undergo surgery to repair his ankle. The surgery was a success, and Kupp has been given a six to eight-week recovery timeframe.

Hence, Kupp will not start the Rams' Week 13 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. No, he will be recuperating and resting instead. His absence will be a dire loss for the ailing Rams, with the franchise's playoff hopes dwindling by the day.

Cooper Kupp's Fantasy Outlook

It is very unlikely that Cooper Kupp will take another snap for the Rams in the 2022 NFL regular season. If you have him, you shouldn't drop him just yet, because there is always a chance you'll regret it. Realistically though, if you are not going to make the playoffs, you could cut ties with him if you really want.

It is virtually impossible to see Kupp suiting up for the Rams. As their playoff hopes will likely be dead when he returns, they are unlikely to risk him. As such, changes have to be made by fantasy team owners that have Kupp in their lineups.

Cooper Kupp's 2022 Season Stats

Cooper Kupp was doing great up until he got hurt. He averaged 14.0 fantasy points per game, despite his team's obvious flaws. Kupp was one of the few bright lights in what has been a disappointing title defense by the Los Angeles Rams.

Kupp has compiled a very impressive stat line of 75 receptions, 812 receiving yards, and six touchdowns in nine games in the 2022 NFL season.
