Disney's Crater: Cast list and characters explored
Disney's science fiction adventure film Crater is set to premiere on May 12, 2023, on Disney+. The film entails the story of a boy, raised in a lunar mining colony, who goes on a secret escapade with his four best friends to a crater his father told him of before his death.

The film stars Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Mckenna Grace, and Billy Barratt in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez and written by John Griffin and Rpin Suwannath, with Dan Cohen, Dan Levine, and Shawn Levy acting as the executive producers.

1) Isaiah Russell-Bailey as Caleb Channing
Isaiah Russell-Bailey plays the lead role of Caleb Channing in the Disney film. Caleb's father leaves him with the knowledge of a legendary crater and the character is the instigator of the secret plan to visit this crater. He can be seen in the trailer, informing others about the said crater and formulating a plan to sneak out of the dome his community lives in and steal a rover to reach his destination.
The actor's performance in the trailer has already been subjected to positive reviews by both fans and critics alike and promises to deliver a stunning performance based on the preview.
Prior to the Disney film, Isaiah Russell-Bailey also starred in the critically acclaimed show Raven's Home and films including We Can Be Heroes and A Family Reunion Christmas.
2) Mckenna Grace as Addison
Mckenna Grace plays the role of Addison in the film. The trailer shows Addison accompanying the group in their adventures and reveals that her character is from Earth, unlike the rest of her group, who have lived in the dome their entire lives. Therefore the group treats her a bit differently. It'll be interesting to see how the film manages to explore her character given this particular characteristic.
The actress is already being termed a fan favorite by the viewers because of her brilliant portrayal of the character in the film's trailer and her ability to bring forth the emotions of childlike wonder and excitement quite convincingly. The actress has previously been featured in a host of acclaimed films and shows including Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Annabelle Comes Home, Captain Marvel, Young Sheldon, The Handmaid's Tale, and Fuller House.
3) Billy Barratt as Dylan
Billy Barratt plays the role of Dylan in the film. While not many details pertaining to his character are revealed, the character will also be accompanying Caleb Channing on his trip to the crater.
The actor has previously starred in the film Responsible Child for which he won the International Emmy Award for Best Actor, being the youngest actor to achieve this feat.
4) Scott Mescudi as Caleb's father
Scott Mescude, also known by his stage name Kid Cudi, will play the role of Caleb's father in the film. His character will inform Caleb about the legend of the crater outside the dome and thereby, fans can expect the singer to have a substantially large role in the film.
The singers casting in the film has also increased anticipation from the film and it'll be interesting how the singer fares in his role. However, the star is no stranger to partaking in acting roles, having previously starred in numerous projects including Pearl, Need for Speed, Jexi, and Netflix's Don't Look Up.
Apart from the aforementioned actors, the film also stars several others portraying pivotal supporting/minor characters. These include Orson Hong as Borney, Thomas Boyce as Marcus, and Brady Noon as Hector.
Crater will premiere on Disney+ on May 12, 2023.
