3 ways Royal Rumble Could Turn WrestleMania Into A Must-See PPV

Royal Rumble is less than four weeks away, and the current storylines confirm that there will be a shock at the end of the show. With various speculations and possibilities that can take place on the show, it is a no-brainer that some returns will definitely take place during the show, and turn the Rumble match into the most talked about the show until WrestleMania.

WWE begins to stack the deck since the first pay-per-view of the year, and the match, as well as the show, give us a preview of things to expect in the coming months. With Fastlane and WrestleMania being the most awaited shows after Royal Rumble, the fans are treated to something special by the WWE which gives them a preview of things to expect in the forthcoming time.

We have seen John Cena return at #30 during the 2008 Royal Rumble when there were rumours that he may only return at WrestleMania. This shocked the WWE Universe then, just like Rey Mysterio's return shocked the fans last year at Royal Rumble.

The Shield members reunited on the ramp to show their solidarity, but before the show was over, Dean Ambrose snapped on his shield-brother Seth Rollins and caused havoc in the ring.

The attack shocked the WWE Universe and has set Dean Ambrose on a heel path of his own. With Triple H's promo this week on Raw confirming that a former champion will not be directly entitled to a championship rematch, we can rest assured that Seth Rollins will get the opportunity down the line, just not this week.

It is a possibility that Roman Reigns returns in the capacity of being an assistant to Seth Rollins who has been fighting Dean Ambrose and his SWAT team all alone. This will also keep the fans updated about Roman Reigns' health condition on a regular basis, and have him turn down the road.

#2 Vince McMahon and Triple H have a confronting difference of opinion

Triple H and Vince McMahon are COO and Chairman of the WWE respectively and are currently running the weekly episodes under their regime. Vince's company XFL will have their first match in 2020, and with so many announcements by XFL over the weeks, there have been rumours that Vince would like to focus on this new venture to make it a success because he had a bad experience the last time this venture was in public.

There have been rumours that Triple H will be taking over Vince McMahon soon, but in an ideal way to make this angle interesting, we can see Hunter and the Chairman get into a confrontation, which would be stopped by the siblings Shane and Stephanie.

With so much happening in the WWE and Vince in no position to wrestle inside the ring, he may pick his representative, and if the representative fails at WrestleMania, Vince would be relieved of his duties.

This is similar to a 'Billionaire versus Billionaire' match, and while the result will be loved by the fans, we will see a host of amazing things happen in the WWE after 'The Game' takes control.

#3 Brock Lesnar retains the Universal Championship

Brock Lesnar is your current reigning defending and undisputed champion of the world. The former UFC fighter is supposed to fight in UFC soon, but it would be great if he enters the octagon as a Universal Champion. This would cement his legacy as a powerful performer both in sports entertainment and Mixed Martial fighting.

His accolades speak about his amazing in-ring work, and with his contract set to expire at WrestleMania, we may see him retain the title at Royal Rumble. With Seth Rollins moving into the Universal Championship storyline, we may see a great match between the two performers at the 'Show of Shows' where Brock Lesnar may lose the title to Seth Rollins and then move to UFC until he plans to return inside the squared circle.
