IMPACT Wrestling Results (July 14th, 2020): Winners, Grades, and Video Highlights

It's the final episode of IMPACT Wrestling before the latest PPV extravaganza! IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary takes place this Saturday, but we've still got a lot to get done before then.

We had an important contract signing for the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship match. We also got a great preview for the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship match, though we still don't know who the fourth challenger is.

We kicked off the night with a 10-Knockout tag team match! The majority of the women competing in the IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary Gauntlet match this Saturday were here tonight. Who would come out victorious with a little bit of momentum going into Slammiversary?

IMPACT Wrestling 10-Knockout Tag Team Match: Kiera Hogan, Tasha Steelz, Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary & Kimber Lee vs Havok, Nevaeh, Alisha Edwards, Susie & Kylie Rae

Nevaeh kicked off the match with a big spear to Tasha Steelz, cutting her in half. Havok tagged in for a backbreaker/clothesline combo. Havok tossed Steelz into her corner, looking for fresh meat.

Kiera Hogan was next and was immediately blasted with a clothesline. Taya Valkyrie and Kimber Lee were next, with both getting rocked with a pair of kicks. Havok knocked Rosemary to the floor for good measure.

On the outside, Susie saved Nevaeh from a four-woman beatdown with a rolling senton off the apron. Alisha Edwards offered herself as tribute, allowing Havok to launch her over the ropes onto their opponents.

Havok hit an incredible suicide dive, setting up Kylie Rae for one as well. However, Taya Valkyrie put an end to the fun, bringing the match back inside the ring. Valkyrie tagged in Rosemary, and the Demon Valkyries demolished Smiley Kylie with a German suplex/big boot combination.

Valkyrie, not one to stay out of the spotlight, got back in and continued to beat down the "rookie." Steelz tagged back in, looking to redeem herself after that horrendous start in the opening moments of the match. She and Kiera Hogan lit up Rae in their corner.

Kimber Lee dominated Rae during the break, but Rae managed to finally get to her corner where Susie came in for the hot tag. A series of palm strikes left Lee dazed for the arachnarana from the top. Steelz broke up the pin and hit Susie with a cutter. A German from Nevaeh spiked Steelz.

Hogan took out Nevaeh with a kick but was handled by Havok. Rosemary and Valkyrie sent Havok to the floor with a pair of spears, but they were soon dumped out as well by a diving Aliyah.

After the dust settled, Susie planted Kimber Lee with the Panic Switch for the win!

Results: Susie defeated Kimber Lee via pinfall to kick off IMPACT Wrestling.

A ring clearing brawl left Kylie Rae and Susie standing tall. Will we see Su Yung return at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary?

Madman Fulton and one of the men vying for the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship this Saturday, Ace Austin were seen driving in oVe's old stomping grounds, Ohio.

Fulton, full of rage as is usual, demanded to know why Austin brought him back there. Austin made it simple. Sometimes you gotta take a step back to move forward. What does Ace Austin have in store for Madman Fulton?

Moose was trying to find a tag team partner for his match tonight when he ran into Rhino and Hernandez who were a full week into their arm wrestling contest. Neither man was willing to forfeit to join up with the TNA World Champion. Moose understood, and walked away. However, he slapped the back of Hernandez, forcing SuperMex to lose.


XXXL (Acey Romero & Larry D) vs The Deaners (Cody Deaner & Cousin Jake) on IMPACT Wrestling

Cousin Jake and Larry D met in the middle for a meeting of the guts, leading to Larry D overpowering the powerhouse of The Deaners. At least, momentarily. As Larry D celebrated, he was planet with a massive body slam.

Jake then slammed Cody Deaner on top of Larry for a two-count. Acey managed to get a tag in and mowed over Deaner with ease. Clothesline, shoulder tackle and slams left Deaner in a heap. Jake tried to break things up but was pounced into the corner.

XXXL set up for a tag team move, but Romero was sent to the floor. Larry D lit Deaner up with an impressive striking combination and sit-out powerbomb. However, before the power bomb planted, Deaner tagged in Cousin Jake.

Jake rolled up Larry D for the surprise victory on IMPACT Wrestling.

Results: Cousin Jake defeated Larry D via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.

Grade: B

After the match, XXXl attacked The Deaners, laying out the fan favorite duo. A nasty backbreaker/diving elbow drop combination crushed Cousin Jake on IMPACT Wrestling.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger was trying to pump up Chris Bey for his upcoming X-Division Championship match at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary. To cheer him up, Swinger went off to the ref who claimed Swinger was banned from ringside on Saturday.

Swinger threatened the ref and IMPACT Wrestling with a lawsuit, managing to get his way. However, when he came back, Chris Bey was hitting on IMPACT Wrestling interviewer Gia and insulted the veteran. Swinger decided that Bey needed to win on his own at Slammiversary.

Next up was the IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary contract signing for the Knockouts Championship Match. Deonna Purrazzo said that there won't be any tricks or foul play. On Saturday, the Virtuosa is taking the title from Jordynne Grace.

Grace responded by bashing Purrazzo's face off the table after signing the contract.

We got a look into the minds of Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan days before their surprising IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Championship match at Slammiversary. The North's biggest threat, oddly enough, seems to have come about from two bitter enemies.

However, Callihan made it known that he would be willing to turn on Shamrock at any moment Saturday.

Rohit Raju & Moose vs Tommy Dreamer & Crazzy Steve on IMPACT Wrestling

Rohit Raju and Tommy Dreamer locked up, with the Desi Hitman getting tossed overhead with a suplex. Crazzy Steve tagged in and was slammed on Raju for a two-count.

Raju made it back to his feet and caught Steve with a thrust kick, sending Steve into Moose's corner. Moose tagged in and caught Steve going for a running crossbody. The fallaway slam slung Steve across the ring into the corner, ,but Moose couldn't hit the shoulder tackle.

Steve and Dreamer tag in, with both lighting up the TNA World Champion. Moose and Raju were sent to the floor, but Moose caught Steve going in for a dive. Luckily, Dreamer rushed in for a baseball slide, sending Moose to the ramp.

Back inside, a Dreamer DDT spiked Moose. Both Dreamer and Moose made it to their partners, allowing Steve to overcome Raju with some unorthodox offense. After a neck crank, a modified octopus stretch nearly gave Steve the win.

Moose broke up the submission and took Dreamer to the floor. A diving DDT from Steve spiked Raju, giving him and Dreamer the win.

We cut back to Detroit where Madman Fulton and Ace Austin arrive at a local gym.

Rhino and Hernandez earned each other's respect

Due to Moose's interference, Hernandez and Rhino decided to settle things in a backlot brawl on IMPACT Wrestling. Hernandez refused to let go of his wad of cash. Rhino kicked Hernandez low and choked him out by the production truck. However, when he walked off, SuperMex rose up and rushed him.

Rhino connected with a steel trash can, but Hernandez responded with traffic cones. The two powerhouses came to blows again, leading to a Gore into a fence. They decided after that to split the money. Good to see the romances are alive and well on IMPACT Wrestling.

We saw another hype package for Slammiversary. This time it was for the IMPACT World Championship match. Eddie Edwards, Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, and a mystery opponent will face off to crown the brand new champion.

Trey has his mind on embarrassing Ace Austin, while Ace and Eddie Edwards are focused on one thing; The IMPACT World Championship. The latter two aren't even worried about that mystery opponent. It's about the gold.

We saw Ace Austin and Madman Fulton training together. Austin said that in one year he went from being left off the Slammiversary card to being a part of the main event for IMPACT Wrestling. His next goal is to become the youngest ever IMPACT Wrestling World Champion.

Eddie Edwards claimed that everything that happened to him, from joining Killer Kowalski's wrestling school to teaming with Davey Richards to getting his face crushed in by Sami Callihan's bat, has lead him to this moment. At Slammiversary, Eddie Edwards will once again be IMPACT Wrestling World Champion.

Trey and Wentz were talking strategy when they noticed Ace Austin was at their gym. They couldn't let that slide, so The Rascalz decided to pay him and Madman Fulton a visit.

Wentz hit the big man with a trash can, managing to goad him into a trap. He quickly escaped, though, and chased Wentz around the building. Trey blindsided Ace Austin, leading to a nasty brawl between the two near the ring. Austin launched a chair into Trey's face and began insulting his long-time rival.

Austin choked out Trey with a broom handle before cracking him in the back with another steel chair shot. Trey managed to duck a chop, sending Ace's hand into a steel post. A superkick knocked the former X-Division Champion into a pile of chairs.

Madman Fulton made the save, but was chased off by Wentz. It was a stalemate tonight on IMPACT Wrestling. However, at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary, this rivalry comes to a head.

As the show ended, Scott D'Amore received a letter giving him some exciting news.
