The women of NXT

Rhea Ripley talks about defeating Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks on SmackDown

NXT's Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox, Candice LeRae, Toni Storm and Mia Yim made their presence felt on the final SmackDown en route to WWE Survivor Series. They interrupted and engaged in a brawl with the women's team of RAW and SmackDown which eventually led to a triple threat match between Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks.

After a back-and-forth battle, Flair had The Legit Boss locked in a Figure 8 but Ripley took the advantage and pinned The Queen to pick up a win for NXT. Following the win, The Nightmare took to Twitter to mock Charlotte Flair and advised the RAW and SmackDown Superstar to not underestimate the NXT talents.

WWE Survivor Series 2019

Ad

This year's WWE Survivor Series will be the first event to feature NXT, RAW and SmackDown indulge in head-to-head competition with each other. While the Red and Blue brands have announced their men and women's team for the pay-per-view, NXT is yet to confirm their lineup. It was revealed on the latest SmackDown that Rhea Ripley will be the NXT women's team captain for Survivor Series but no information has been provided regarding the rest of the team.

In a span of a few days, Ripley wrestled Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and the performance she put in during those altercations, prove why she got to be the captain of Team NXT. Hopefully, she will continue to ride on this momentum and guide her team to victory at Survivor Series.
