WWE have yet to disclose the location of the pay-per-view, but all signs indicate that it will not happen at the Performance Center. SummerSlam 2020 will have several titles on the line, and WWE may plan to pull off a swerve to get fans talking and bring back interest in the product.

#5 A surprising title change at SummerSlam 2020

AJ Styles is the current Intercontinental Champion

A pay-per-view as grand and prestigious as SummerSlam, will - and should - have a few surprises. A surprising title change could be one way for WWE to make things interesting on both WWE RAW and SmackDown.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will face off against Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2020, but a title change in this match does not quite make sense as The Scottish Psychopath has several other opponents waiting to feud with him.

The RAW Tag Team titles will also be on the line, but with it mostly being on the pre-show, it may not generate a lot of buzz.

A win for The Fiend against Braun Strowman would not be a surprise, considering most fans want to see it, while Apollo Crews losing to MVP would also not interest most fans.

The SmackDown and RAW women's champions losing their titles could be an interesting twist. But with a potential match between Bayley and Sasha Banks in the offing, only one of those two could lose their titles.

One interesting title change - if the match gets confirmed for SummerSlam 2020 - would be AJ Styles losing his Intercontinental title. There has been some speculation doing the rounds recently that Styles could defend his title against Big E, who is now a singles competitor.

Fans have been clamoring for The New Day star to get a singles run, and now that he's got it, they are desperate to see him hold a singles title. That could perhaps happen at SummerSlam 2020

#4 RETRIBUTION unmask themselves at SummerSlam 2020

Who could be behind these masks?

RETRIBUTION, the newest faction in WWE, has run amok on both WWE RAW and SmackDown over the last two weeks. It seems that the hooded faction are here to stay, and WWE is slowly building towards their reveal. SummerSlam 2020 could be the perfect place for them to remove their masks and hoods and reveal who they truly are and their intentions as well.

After destroying parts of the Performance Center, and even the ring on SmackDown, RETRIBUTION have caught the attention of the WWE Universe. WWE have, so far, built this new faction up well, and they could bring more eyeballs on them if they are unmasked at SummerSlam 2020.

There have been a few hints as to who these Superstars are, with some of them suggesting that they could be from NXT. Sportskeeda's very own Tom Colohue disclosed the potential identity of one member recently. He said that Vanessa Bourne could be one of the Superstars part of the faction, while other hints point towards NXT's Dominik Dijakovic and Tommaso Ciampa being a part of this faction.

#3 Return of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2020

Could we see Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesnar II later this year?

A majority of the WWE Universe seem to dislike Brock Lesnar, or at least that's what can be presumed from scrolling through social media. But, it seems that The Beast attracts interest - at least from the casual audience - whenever he appears on WWE television. Bringing back Lesnar at SummerSlam 2020 would get fans talking - positively or negatively.

Brock Lesnar hasn't been on our screens since WrestleMania 36, where he lost his WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. Lesnar returning at SummerSlam 2020, could maybe set-up a rematch between the two, one that could take place later this year.

McIntyre faces off against Randy Orton, and logic would dictate that the Scottish Psychopath will retain his title, while The Viper moves on to his next feud and potential third match against Edge.

This could be a great way to bring Brock Lesnar back at SummerSlam 2020, and attack McIntyre, following his match. For McIntyre's stock to grow even further, he may have to show that that win against Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 wasn't a fluke.

Lesnar's return could also set-up a future match against Bobby Lashley, which has been in the making for a long time. A Brock Lesnar return at SummerSlam 2020 would be akin to his surprise entry to the men's Money in the Bank ladder match last year - and could generate the same amount of buzz.

#2 Samoa Joe gets back in the ring at SummerSlam 2020

One Superstar who isn't booked to wrestle at SummerSlam 2020, but will be at the show is Samoa Joe. Joe hasn't wrestled in WWE since February, with his last match coming on February 10th in an 8-person tag team match on RAW. The Samoan Submission Machine was suspended for violating WWE's Wellness Policy, and upon his return, he joined the RAW commentary desk.

The former NXT and United States Champion has done a great job behind the mic, but he still has a lot to offer in the ring.

Current RAW Superstar MVP recently let it slip that Samoa Joe will be returning soon to WWE, in an interview with Newsweek:

"What I understand, ol' Samoa Joe is gonna be back in action and over the years Samoa Joe and I have been great friends, but we've never ever faced each other. At this stage of my career, I think I feel a lot more confident facing him, knowing that I got Bobby and Shelton backing me up—but I also know that wouldn't phase Joe in the least."

Joe teased a return to in-ring action when he recently confronted Seth Rollins, who was picking on Joe's commentary partner, Tom Phillips.

With Seth Rollins set to take on Dominik Mysterio at SummerSlam 2020, the show could be a great way for Joe to get back to his natural environment - the ring. SummerSlam 2020 will see the debut of Dominik, which will create waves, while the return of Samoa Joe could give Rollins a new opponent.

#1 Sasha Banks and Bayley finally split at SummerSlam 2020

Bayley and Sasha Banks

This is a breakup that's been in the works for weeks and teased a few times. Bayley and Sasha Banks are going to split up; it's only a matter of when, and not if. The two Superstars will both be in action at SummerSlam 2020 - Bayley defending her SmackDown Women's title against the winner of a Triple Brand Battle Royal, while Banks will put her RAW Women's title on the line against Asuka.

It will be a big surprise if both Banks and Bayley walk out of SummerSlam 2020 holding their respective belts. Bayley showed her annoyance at Banks for putting her in a match against Asuka, while the two also showed signs of dissension at WrestleMania 36.

Most fans think that a match between the two will happen later this year, and the seeds to that match could be sowed at SummerSlam 2020 later this month. This could turn out to be one of the most memorable moments of this year's SummerSlam, as it will not only set-up a fantastic match between the two, but also throw a big question mark on what will happen to the Women's Tag Team titles.
