WWE NXT Results October 28th, 2020: NXT Halloween Havoc Winners, Grades, Video Highlights

NXT Halloween Havoc kicked off with elaborate entrances for Damian Priest and Johhny Gargano, featuring a live guitarist and a giant inflatable pumpkin. Shotzi Blackheart was the host and she spun the Wheel that said it would be a Devil’s Playground match which means No DQ and falls count anywhere.

Gargano tore a hole in the giant pumpkin during his entrance. The match began and Priest was in control early on before Gargano got a hold of a kendo stick. During a break, Priest had Gargano tangled in the deflated pumpkin as he beat him down at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Gargano took the Broken Arrow on the announce desk before the match went outside and Gargano beat Priest with a trashcan and then an equipment trolly. Back after another break, they were on the makeshift stage and Gargano used a trashcan to attack Priest.

Priest went for the finisher but a masked character came out with a steel pipe and took him out. Gargano took a concrete tombstone from the character and smashed Priest in the head with it. Priest fell below and Gargano crawled down there to pin him and pick up the win at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Cameron Grimes was backstage on NXT and William Regal took him to the parking lot before Pat McAfee was out with the NXT Tag Champs.

McAfee went on a rant about The Undisputed Era and tried to explain his actions before Kyle O'Reilly came out and Pete Dunne returned with two steel chairs in hand.

O'Reilly was attacked by Dunne and McAfee joined in with Oney and Burch to take him out. Dunne has joined McAfee's crew and helped him put O'Reilly through a chair with a DDT at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Grimes was in the parking lot with Regal and was sent to the van although he wanted to quit the match instead and take the loss at Halloween Havoc. Michael PS Hayes dressed in orange & black came out of it and Grimes said he hated rednecks before we headed for a break on NXT.

Santos Escobar vs. Jake Atlas at NXT Halloween Havoc

The Cruiserweight champ had control of the match early on and hit the running knees in the corner on Atlas while trash-talking. Atlas came back with some strikes and got a near fall off a German Suplex and a forearm at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Atlas got another near fall with a top rope move but Wilde grabbed Escobar's leg and put it on the ropes to break it. Atlas took out Legado del Fantasma with a top rope dive before he was taken down by Mendoza with help of a mask and sent back in for Escobar to hit his finisher for the win at Halloween Havoc.

Cameron Grimes vs. Dexter Lumis - Haunted House of Terror match at NXT Halloween Havoc: Pt.1

Grimes came in screaming and yelling as Marilyn Manson played in the background at NXT Halloween Havoc. Grimes spooked himself a few times and Lumis was seen stalking him from a tree and then a referee appeared before Lumis attacked Grimes in a dark room.

Grimes tried to escape and closed a door behind him but Lumis kicked it down. Grimes turned to see someone taking a shower and it turned out to be a monster. Lumis and a terrified Grimes fought in the dark and the monster reappeared, climbing on Grimes' back.

Grimes managed to somehow escape the haunted house and got to the van but Lumis was there in the driver's seat. Grimes screamed and ran away at NXT Halloween Havoc before we got a "to be continued...".

Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez at NXT Halloween Havoc

Gonzalez was dominating early as she caught Ripley with a cannonball and then smashed the Nightmare into the plexiglass at ringside. After a break, Gonzalez had Ripley in a stretch hold before resuming her onslaught.

Ripley got in control of the match and locked in a submission hold before she was dropped again for a near fall at NXT Halloween Havoc. Ripley missed the Riptide and was tossed off the top rope. Even after all of the damage she took, Ripley managed to hit the Riptide in the center of the ring for the win.

Backstage on NXT, Drake Maverick was dressed like Hulk Hogan and had a funny exchange with Killian Dain who was cosplaying as the Shockmaster.

Grimes was back to the main set and was still being chased by the monster he found at the house. Grimes screamed and got back in the ring where Lumis snuck up on him and a more traditional match began as Lumis was destroying Cameron Grimes.

The zombies now invaded the ring at NXT Halloween Havoc and Lumis tossed one of them at Grimes. Lumis locked in his finisher and put Grimes out for good, picking up the win.

Result: Dexter Lumis def. Cameron Grimes

Tomasso Ciampa was backstage and ranted about the state of NXT before issuing a threat to Velveteen Dream.

Io Shirai (c) vs. Candice LeRae - Tables, Ladders and Scares match for the NXT Women's Championship at Halloween Havoc

LeRae took out a bag from under the ring and it had some fake body parts in it. Shirai used the severed hand to beat LeRae before they ended up on the announce desk. Shirai was sent crashing down after being hit with a computer and LeRae went for a ladder.

Shirai tossed a chair at LeRae and knocked her out before hitting a Meteora on the steel steps. Shirai dropped LeRae on a steel chair with a suplex but the following knee strike saw Io run into a ladder after LeRae sidestepped.

LeRae hit a spinning neck breaker on Shirai and both women went through tables on the outside. The masked Superstar from the Gargano match lifted LeRae up on the ladder but Shotzi took the masked Superstar out before they could do anything more.

LeRae recovered on top of the ladder and went for the title but Shirai dropped the ladder and retrieved the title for the win at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Result: Io Shirai def. Candice LeRae to retain the NXT Women's Championship

NXT Halloween Havoc kicked off with a brilliant title match and we got a brutal women's match as well. Blackheart hosted the show and we even got a Haunted House of Terror match as a Halloween Special.
