WWE RAW: 5 Major surprises that could happen this week- New title revealed, First Retribution member unmasked, Big heel turn

This week's edition of WWE SmackDown may have started slow but the way that the show ended, with utter chaos and rampage, has certainly piqued the interest of one and all. WWE RAW needs to follow suit because this is a show that needs a boost in ratings even more than its blue compatriot.

The 5 following surprises that have been listed in this article could certainly make WWE RAW a lot more interesting than it is, at the moment. We all know that these are interesting times for the company, where they have to think innovatively and outside the box, because of the lack of a live audience.

#5 A brand new WWE RAW Underground Championship is introduced

This was an idea that was brought up by Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda on this week's edition of Dropkick DiSKussions, a separate WWE RAW Underground Championship for the competitors on the show. It would be a device and a vehicle to build a whole new contingent of stars in a more 'shoot' style environment. And this is a title that Bobby Lashley needs to own and carry on him until Brock Lesnar is ready to make his return to WWE RAW to wrest it off him.

This is a title that could honestly benefit a lot of individuals, including The Viking Raiders who could be repackaged and portrayed as bare-knuckle fighters in this environment.

Dolph Ziggler could shake off the character we've come to loathe and embark on a new run as a 'shoot fighter'. Shane McMahon introducing the WWE RAW Underground Championship could shake up the while landscape of the current roster.

#4 A Retribution member is unmasked on WWE RAW, during a crazy scuffle

There is no doubt at all that Retribution will show up on WWE RAW this week, after the power outages of the past week and everything that went down on SmackDown. There is an incredible amount of social media buzz surrounding Retribution at this moment in time and Bruce Prichard will want to capitalize on all the hype with a massive segment on WWE RAW featuring these masked men and women.

The first Superstar could be unmasked on this week's episode of WWE RAW because unlike SmackDown, the Superstars of the Red brand could be prepared for an invasion.

While I do not want to see it happen, we all know that there will be a showdown between the masked ninjas and Retribution on WWE RAW this week or at a later date.

It would also be very interesting, if, say, one of them was to win the WWE 24/7 Championship on WWE RAW, out of the blue, which would necessitate WWE to sign these mysterious men and women.

#3 Kevin Owens turns heel after Ric Flair's urging on WWE RAW

A lot of people may be of the same opinion as Ric Flair after the whole 'Kevin Owens Show' segment on WWE RAW last week, where he got slapped by The IIconics. Here is a man who used to be the Universal Champion, until he would lose his title and his momentum to Goldberg, who has been reduced to a talk show host and a guidance counselor on WWE RAW.

Kevin Owens takes on Randy Orton this week on WWE RAW and there is no chance at all that he will be victorious. I mean Randy Orton is in the WWE Championship picture at the moment and he needs all the momentum in the world heading into his big title match against Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam.

So, when Kevin Owens suffers a loss, it may compel a big change in his character on WWE RAW and finally force him to go heel, to regain some of the steam he once had going for him.

#2 Sasha Banks accidentally costs Bayley her big match on WWE RAW

If you saw the whole segment with Stephanie McMahon, you know that Asuka is supposed to be facing Bayley on WWE RAW in a match with major SummerSlam 2020 implications. If Asuka is victorious, then she gets a shot at Sasha Banks for the WWE RAW Women's Championship at SummerSlam. And let's face it, we all know that she's going to come out victorious on WWE RAW and therefore, get a chance at the title at SummerSlam. Yes, it is not very difficult to call.

Also, on both WWE RAW and SmackDown, we have continuously seen hints of a split between Bayley and Sasha Banks which could be solidified on this week's episode of RAW.

Sasha Banks could attempt to turn the tables in her friend's favor but end up costing Bayley the big match on WWE RAW that leads to a rift between the two and an eventual split that culminates in a massive Sasha Banks vs. Bayley match somewhere down the line.

#1 Samoa Joe has his first big comeback match on WWE RAW

Last week on WWE RAW, when Seth Rollins was about to unleash his tyranny and evil on a poor and hapless Tom Phillips, Samoa Joe, his broadcast partner, would come to his rescue. There was a lot of speculation regarding whether or not Samoa Joe has been cleared to compete on WWE RAW again, but it is pretty clear that the time is nigh for him to make his big return.

It could certainly happen on this week's show, especially if Rollins and Murphy decide to unleash their anger on someone like Dominik. Samoa Joe may decide that he can no longer be sitting quietly on the sidelines and leave the WWE RAW broadcast booth to make the big save.

And so we may see a preview of the action at SummerSlam, only this time on WWE RAW. Dominik and Samoa Joe against Seth Rollins and Murphy in a big tag team match.

Or maybe even Samoa Joe vs. Murphy in a singles match.
