American track and field athlete DeAnna Marie Price was born on June 8, 1993, and she specializes in the hammer throw. Price set a new world record for women in the indoor 25-pound hammer-style weight throw in February 2021. Price became the first American woman to medal in any women's throw event at a World Championship when she won the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships in Doha.
She won back-to-back NCAA titles in the hammer throw while throwing for Southern Illinois University. Price only has one kidney and has had numerous traumas. In Troy, Missouri, Price went to Troy Buchanan High School. At the State Track Meet, she placed second in the discus and fifth in the shot put while competing for the All-State softball team.
