World No.5 Kidambi Srikanth defeated the in-form Ajay Jayaram in straight games 21-10 21-14 in the opening round of the Denmark Open Superseries Premier on Wednesday.
The opening game saw Srikanth take a 4-1 early lead and move into complete cruise control after that, as he gave absolutely no opening whatsoever for his opponent to eventually clinch the game 21-10.
The second game saw a similar story unfold as after the opening few points, the 22-year-old Srikanth completely dominated proceedings to clinch the game 21-14 and book a place in the second round.

The defeat brings to an end a sensational run of victories for Jayaram, who had defended his Dutch Open Grand Prix title last week,
