RMV Gurusaidutt in action

RMV Gurusaidutt clinched his second match of the day as well on Wednesday after beating Chun-Wei Chen of Chinese Taipei 21-14 21-19 in the second round of the Dutch Open Grand Prix to move into the third round.

The opening game saw a tight contest between both players as they kept exchanging leads but at the 11-11 mark, it was the Indian who took the lead and then held on to the advantage to clinch the game 21-14.

The second game saw the Gurusaidutt get off to a good start but Chen continued to remain in the game, almost till the latter stages,when at the 19-19 mark, he clinched the game points and then sealed the game and the match to move into the third round.

He will face Dymytro Zavadsky of Ukraine in the third round.

However, Sai Praneeth couldn't quite pull off a second win of the day as he bowed out in the second round, losing to Rasmus Fladberg 21-12 7-21 21-12 in three games to bow out of the tournament.

In the Women’s Singles, P.C. Thulasi progressed through to the second round after making her way through a tight contest against Gayle Mahulette of Netherlands, winning 20-22 21-15 21-16
