The 2016 edition of the Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold has been dealt a big blow ahead of the main draw on Wednesday with World No.2 Saina Nehwal pulling out of the main draw. India will have a sizeable contingent in the Men’s Singles with the likes of Siril Verma, RMV Gurusaidutt giving the pros like Kidambi Srikanth, Parupalli Kashyap company in this category,

Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy will lead the Men’s Doubles contingent and they will be joined by Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Akshay Dewalkar. Also, in the fray will be the likes of Shlok Ramachandra and K.Nandagopal.

In the Women’s Doubles, the hopes will be pinned on Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa who will look to put their best foot forward in front of their home fans.
