Commonwealth Games 2018: India vs Malaysia Mixed-Team Final Badminton- Telecast, live streaming, date, start time and where to watch online
Saina Nehwal and co. will be looking to add another gold to the medal tally.
India's contingent over in Gold Coast has already performed admirably, with five gold medals coming from weightlifting in an exciting period for athletes representing the country down under. With more medals up for grabs tomorrow, the world looks on as India hope to increase their medal tally and stay among the top few in the overall leaderboard.
They have a golden opportunity to pick up another gold medal tomorrow in the mixed team Badminton finals after India conquered a game Singapore outfit in the semi-finals thanks to a definitive win for Saina Nehwal after a brief slip-up by the men's doubles gave the Singaporeans some hope. Worries were soon put to rest by the Olympic medalist and India wrapped up a 3-1 overall scoreline to head into the finals where they have a chance to pick up their first-ever gold at the Commonwealth Games in Badminton.
It won't be a straightforward affair, however, with India's opponents being Malaysia, the second-seeded team in the tournament with something to prove. Led by the legendary Lee Chong Wei, the Malaysians have been sensational in their own right and disposed of England in the second semi-final to book their place in the final against India. Despite facing seemingly tough opposition in England, the Malaysians were largely untroubled and mercilessly put away the opposition in a confidence-building win.
While India will be confident of their chances to pick up another gold, it will surely be an interesting watch as the top teams from the Badminton event line up against each other in the grand finale.
