The Rio Olympic Silver Medallist PV Sindhu and star shuttler Kidambi Srikanth will take part in the Dubai World Super Series Finals to be played from 13th December to 17th. The top 8 players from each category will take part in this tournament.

PV Sindhu has been clubbed with Yamaguchi, Sato and He Bingjiao in Group A. She has been in good form this year winning the Indian Open Super Series, reaching the finals of World Championship, winning her maiden Korean Open Super Series.

Her performance this year shows her ability and although her draw seems straightforward, the World Championship Silver Medalist would hope to end this year on a high. At the present moment, the poster girl of Indian badminton is currently number 3 in the world. Last year, she lost in the semi-finals of this tournament to Sung-Ji- Hyun.

With no Okuhara and Carolina Marin in this tournament, it gives her a perfect chance to win her maiden World Super finals title. All the matches in the group stage are tough but if she plays her A-game, Sindhu could reach the semi-finals stage.

In other Group, Tai Tzu Ying, Sung Ji Hyun, Intanon and Chen Yufei have been clubbed together. This promises to be an exciting tournament and hope that Sindhu can finish the year with this prestigious tournament. She will face He Bingjao in the first match on 13th, then against Japan Sato and the final match against Yamaguchi on 15th. The top two will qualify for the semi-finals.

K Srikanth, on the other hand, is grouped with Shi Yuqi, Viktor Axelsen and Chou Tien Chen. It has been an outstanding year for world number 4 K Srikanth winning, four prestigious Super Series title in Indonesia, Australia, Denmark, and France in 2017.

In China Open and Hong Kong Open, he did not participate due to an injury. It is a tough draw for him. The Hyderabadi shuttler takes on Denmark Axelsen in the first match on 13th, followed by Chou Tien Chen on 14th and final match against Shi Yuqi on 15th December.
