2015 Korea Open Superseries: Ajay Jayaram beats Vincent Wong to enter quarterfinals

Jayaram beat Wong Wing Vincent in a three-setter to reach round three

Ajay Jayaram came back from one game down to rally back and beat Vincent Wong of Hong Kong ranked 25 and who is a far superior and experienced player. Jayaram lost the first game 21 – 17 which was a hard fought first game where both players tried their best to get a hold in the first game, but Wong took the first game.

Ajay Jayaram who made it to the second round with an upset victory over World No.6 Viktor Axelsen, whom he beat in straight sets 21-15, 21-15. In the second round, he rallied back from one game down to easily take the second game and third game 21-15, 21-15. In a match which was just 53 minutes long, except for the first game during which Ajay looked strong but let up in the final part of the game, Ajay had a stronghold all throughout the match.

Ajay is looking extremely strong coming into the Korea Open World Series as he easily brushed aside sixth ranked Axelsen in just under half an hour. Jayaram is currently ranked 30 in the World will look to give his best and clinch a title before his birthday on the 28th of September. The only title he won was the 2014 Dutch Open Grand Prix.
