After a winless outing on day three of the Arctic Open, India's campaign at the event has officially drawn to a close. The pre-quarters saw some lukewarm performances from the nation's shuttlers, as they failed to get past their respective opponents.

First up on court was Malvika Bansod in the women's singles events. Bansod was fresh off an extraordinary run that saw her make her way to the quarterfinals of the China Open Super 1000.

However, after an impressive opening-round performance against World No.23 Sun Shuo Yun, Bansod was unable to replicate that form today. She fell in straight games to Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon.

Elsewhere, both Unaati Hooda and Aakarshi Kashyap failed to make it past their round-of-16 hurdles. Hooda lost to Michelle Li, while Kashyap was unable to outdo second seed Han Yue.

In the men's singles event at the Arctic Open, all eyes were on Lakshya Sen as he returned to action following a phenomenal campaign at the Paris Olympics. Taking on Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen, the Indian looked strong in the first game winning it 21-19. However, Chou was able to script quite the comeback, reclaiming the match 21-18, 21-15.
