Things took a hilarious team on social media on Wednesday when men's world number three shuttler Kidambi Srikanth posted a picture on Instagram of himself in a tuxedo and a bow tie as part of a photoshoot. The post featured a line, which quoted Srikanth and said, "No chasing girls and crashing cars for me."

On that picture, the world's numero uno shuttler Viktor Axelsen came up with a hilarious response as he commented, "One of these statements is a lie," which sent fans into peals of laughter.

Other users also commented on the post, some agreeing with Axelsen and some even going to the extent of asking Kidambi Srikanth to get married.

This exchange shows the rapport shared by the two players, both of whom had phenomenal seasons in 2017 and enjoyed a fierce rivalry on court. Both shuttlers defeated the other in their respective home tournaments to win the overall crown as Axelsen thrashed Srikanth in the Indian Open while in Denmark, it was the other way around.

Srikanth won four Superseries titles last year - Indonesia Open, Australian Open, Denmark Open and French Open while Viktor Axelsen won the India Open, Japan Open, World Championships and BWF Super Series Finals in the year 2017.

In head to head battles, Axelsen edges Srikanth 4 -3, with three wins for Axelsen in 2017 and a solitary win in 2015.

Both of the badminton aces have become good acquaintances because of the Premier Badminton League as Kidambi Srikanth plays for the Awadhe Warriors and Viktor Axelsen plays for the Bengaluru Blasters in the ongoing Season 3.

While Bengaluru Blasters will face the Hyderabad Hunters next in the last group match of the league, while the Awadhe Warriors have played all their league matches and will miss out on a place in the final four.
