The second game saw Hsu fight back very well, after being 3-1 down at one point to take 6-4 lead in the game. That loss in advantage though didn't seem to deter Sinmdhu’s charge as she fought back to make it 7-6the match in her favour.

But the key moment in the game came at the 6-6 mark when, like in the second game, Sindhu once again gave away the advantage to her opponent and that slight opening of the door let Hsu to run away with the game and she eventually clinched the game the match in her favour 16-21 21-015 21-14 to enter into the second round.
