PV Sindhu will be reaching for a gold medal at Rio

PV Sindhu has already created history by becoming the first Indian shuttler to reach the finals of the Olympics! That’s phenomenal indeed. Can she go one step ahead and clinch the gold at the Rio Olympics 2016? Can she become the first lady to win an individual Olympic gold medal for India after Abhinav Bindra became the first man to do it?

As per my analysis, we all need to be content with the fact that she has won a silver.

Sindhu has a phenomenal horoscope which was tailor-made for badminton. She has Pluto in her third house which rules the hands. Pluto is the most powerful planet in the universe and here it is in its own house of Scorpio, wherein it comes only once in 300 years, which makes her horoscope really special. Add to that the fact that she has the second most powerful Planet – ‘X’ (2007 RH283) in exaltation and also Planet – ‘Y’ (1999 JV127) in its own house Virgo, and that makes Pusarla the first woman to achieve this distinction.

Three years ago I had predicted that Sindhu would win a medal at the Rio Olympics, and that turned out to be right (screenshot of my article below). So can she go ahead and beat Carolina Marin for the gold?

The chancers are slim. While a billion people would pray for a repeat of the spectacular defeat that the Hyderabadi handed to her Japanese opponent in the semi-final, planets caution us to tread slow in our expectations.

While Sindhu has a fabulous horoscope, Marin’s isn’t any less spectacular. In fact, the Spaniard has a horoscope a shade better than Sindhu. Marin too was born with Pluto in its own house and Planet – X in exaltation. She also has Chiron in its own house instead of the Planet – Y of Sindhu. It’s a small difference, but will have a major impact.

Chiron in its own house is a rarer phenomenon than Planet – Y in its own house. Additionally, the Spaniard also has Mercury in its own house. Now that is four strong planets of Marin versus three strong planets of Sindhu. Clearly, Marin has an edge here.

The World No. 1 was born in 1993 compared to 1995 of Sindhu. In the astrological flow of events, the person who was born earlier has better chances of winning the ultimate distinction than the person born later. In 2012 Olympics, the gold winner was the Chinese, a 1991-born. The next has to be from 1993 and not a 1995-born. Here again, Sindhu loses the edge to Carolina.

I predict that Sindhu will go down fighting to the World #1. But she can still hold her head high, having already achieved the unthinkable for the medal-starved India.
