What's the story?
Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal's biopic, which stars Shraddha Kapoor has been delayed, according to the Bollywood actress.The film had already been in jeopardy and now will be delayed as the Bollywood star has a number of other projects lined up in the year. With the actress confirming that she has started working on other movies, the future of this movie remains in the balance as of now, though she remains confident that the biopic will indeed be released later on.

Nehwal has been the torchbearer for Indian badminton in the past few years before the likes of PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth came to the fore in the upper echelon of shuttle sports. News broke last year, that a biopic on Nehwal would be directed by Amol Gupte and Kapoor would play the protagonist's role.
The heart of the matter
Kapoor has been more or less confirmed to play the role even though the shooting schedule for the movie has been put on hold as of now.
In the midst of all this, Kapoor will be working on a horror movie titled 'Stree' but at the same time, she also confirmed that Nehwal's biopic will definitely be shot in the upcoming months.
It can also be noted that in the past few months reports suggested that the biopic was getting postponed regularly because Kapoor was trying to get accustomed to the sport and that was delaying the whole process.
