Registration for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2025 started on Jan 3, 2025. Teams who want to participate in this BGMI event can register their names through the official website of Krafton India Esports. This tournament will be held in many different stages, where teams from India will compete against each other for an enormous ₹2 crore prize pool.
Krafton has also revealed the dates and format for the BGIS 2025, confirming the same 10-point scoring system as its previous edition. A total of 64 pro teams will directly be invited to the tournament. All the registered teams will first fight in the In-Game Qualifiers to reach the next stage of the event.
BGIS 2025 registration and dates
Registration for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2025 will be held from January 3 to 20, 2025. Players must be at least 16 years old and have a minimum level 30 and Platinum 1 tier in the BGMI. Given below is the process to register your team:
- Step 1 - Visit the Krafton India Esports website and verify your mobile number via OTP.
- Step 2 - Click the three squares button to confirm that you are over 16 years of age and agree to the event's terms and conditions.
- Step 3 - Set up your password.
- Step 4 - Create your KIE ID.
- Step 4 - Go to your profile and fill in all the necessary details, such as In-Game name, UID, and more.
- Step 5 - Verify your Email ID.
- Step 6 - Go to the tournament section of your profile and click on the Register Now banner for the BGIS 2025.
- Step 7 - Click on the Create Your Team option, enter your team name, and choose your role.
- Step 8 - Click on the Invite Player banner and invite your players by entering your teammates’ KIE ID or phone number.
All these registered teams will play their In-Game Qualifier matches between January 25 and February 2, 2025. Each team will have a total of 15 matches to play in this initial stage. The top 1016 teams from this stage will qualify for Round 1 of BGIS 2025.
Similar to previous editions, Krafton will also host the Grind, a qualifier for the India series. A total of 64 pro teams will be invited to this contest and based on their results, these teams will qualify for a stage of the BGIS 2025.
While the initial stages of the tournament will be played online, the ultimate stage, the Grand Finals, will be hosted offline in Kolkata from April 18 to 20, 2025. The winner of the upcoming India Series will be awarded ₹60 lakh in prize money.
