Boxer Dinesh Kumar Sangwan selected for Commonwealth Games
The Indian boxing federation has released the list of 42-member core group probables for the upcoming Commonwealth games in Glasgow,Scotland.
Dinesh Kumar Sangwan will be part of the boxing team heading to Glasgow.
Dinesh has won gold at the Commonwealth boxing Championship and silver in the Asian games. He has completed one year training as a police inspector with the Haryana police.
The selection trials were held at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) under the supervision of the Ad-Hoc committee in presence of the selectors Mehtab Singh, Deverajan, Mohammed Ali Qamar, Jitender Kumar and Rajender Prasad.
The men's team will participate in the Chemistry Cup to test their training prior to the upcoming events.
Akhil Kumar is also making a comeback into the team after a gap of 3 years.
Vijender Singh will be eager to perform at the games after the release of his bollywood film.
Dinesh Kumar will be participating in the 91 kilogram category.
