The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has announced the list of the ‘Best of the Year 2009 Awards’ in which Mr Kishen Mangaldas Narsi of India has been declared as the ‘Best Technical Delegate for 2009’.
Mr Kishen Narsi is a former Inter University Boxer as well as an International Referee & Judge (AIBA) who has had the unique distinction of having officiated at three Olympic Games ie. Los Angeles (1984), Seoul (1988) and Barcelona (1992) as well as Referee & Judge at six Asian Games from Asian Games 1978 Bangkok to Asian Games 1998 Bangkok. He is presently theAdditional Executive Committee Member of AIBA representing Asia as well as the Secretary of AIBA Technical & Rules Commission. In recognition of his tremendous experience and ability to handle all types of situations, he was made Technical Delegate of many important International Boxing Tournaments especially the World Championships, Milan 2009, Asian Championships, Zhuhai, China 2009 as well as World Championships Chicago, 2007. All these events were conducted flawlessly without any protests or problems due to excellent management skills of Mr Kishen Narsi as the Technical Delegate.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Boxing in AIBA as a Technical Delegate, Mr Kishen Narsi was selected as the best Technical Delegate of 2009 by the Selection Committee of AIBA. Many other ‘Best of the Year Awards’ have also been announced by AIBA , the details of which are given in the attached letter received from AIBA Office.The 2009 AIBA Awards Ceremony will be held on 10 December 2009 at Baku, Azerbaijan during the President’s Cup.
