The Indian Boxing Federation signs million dollars sponsorship deals with Monnett

The Indian boxing federation has signed a three years one million dollars sponsorships with Monnet Ispat and Energy. to finance the national teams and take care of their kits. A press release from the IBF’s marketing agent Percept said on Sunday(18th April,2010) said that as per the contract all the various national teams- senior men , juniors and sub juniors along with senior women players, junior and sub juniors.

The Indian Boxing Federation Chief Abhay Singh Chautala that that the deal will give much needed boost to Indian Boxing and help them in becoming World Champions.

According to agreement, Monnet will launch “Fight Nights” in India. The ” Fight Nights” will be India’s first ever indoor exhibition bouts between Indian and International Players all over the country at specific intervals.

The ” Fight Nights” is supposed is supposed to be a a mix of the entertaining sport of boxing with live entertainment. These fights are similar to one enjoyed by audiences in US and Europe. It will provide premium experience to US in India.

Olympic bronze medalist Vijender Singh welcomed the move and said that it will provide the much needed support to the talented the players to take sport forward.

The bouts would be staged in malls, multiplexes, discos, clubs, open grounds, college campuses, amusement and theme parks.
