Boxer Vijender Singh appeals to Jat Community for peace in Haryana
Vijender called for peace and brotherhood to be maintained in Haryana, and said that doing so was absolutely essential for the country.
Indian professional boxer Vijender Singh on Sunday appealed to the Jat community agitating for job quota in Haryana to maintain peace.
"I appeal to my Jat brothers to maintain peace and brotherhood in Haryana. It is absolutely essential for us, our families, our state and our country," he said in a video message on his Twitter page.
Beijing Olympics bronze medalist boxer Vijender, who belongs to Haryana's Bhiwani town, is currently in Manchester.
His fourth fight in the pro boxing circuit has been rescheduled for March 12 at the Echo Arena, Liverpool.
