Earlier this year, IOS Boxing Promotions and Queensberry Promotions put up an extremely successful professional boxing show in front of Indian boxing fans at the Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi. IOS Boxing Promotions is once again bringing back Vijender Singh to the ring, this time for him to defend his title he earned earlier.

Vijender will be seen defending his WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion title on 17th December 2016, at the Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi.

Vijender Singh’s headliner fight will see top Indian boxers make their pro-boxing debut on the fight night. IOS Boxing Promotions will announce the names of the boxers against international fighters soon along with the opponent that will be pitted against the Indian Boxing sensation Vijender Singh. Till date he has a record of 7 out of 7 wins with 6 KO in 27 rounds.

IOS Boxing Promotions brought everyone together to witness a day that went down in the history of Indian Professional boxing. The stadium witnessed record-breaking attendance by fans of the King of the Ring – Vijender Singh. The total attendance was 6000. Distinguished attendees of the political sphere along with the glamour of Bollywood and champions of the sports world saw the emergence of a new champion and in Vijender, a star being born.

In terms of sponsorships, Vijender’s title fight attracted record 15 global and Indian brands. Social media audience very well received the event as well; Vijender Singh was trending on number one spot at the time of fight night. Not only the social media but also the TRP for the fight night as recorded by Star Sports was considered to be very high.

The fight will be telecasted live on Star Sports Network this time as well; tickets sales will also commence soon.

Commenting on his next fight, Vijender Singh said, “I have been in Manchester, UK for the last two months, training hard for my next fight. My trainer has been giving me high-intensity training sessions, which has made my punches more powerful than before. I am ready to fight anybody as suggested by the World Boxing Organisation (WBO). I am confident that I will be able to defend my title with as much pride as I won it. I am looking forward to 17th December 2016, and hope to repeat history.”
