Anthony Edwards, the No. 1 pick of the 2020 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, played for Georgia Bulldogs in his college career. However, he declared for the NBA draft after his one-and-done season (2019-20) with Georgia.

Edwards started his high school career with Therrell High School. Later, he transferred to the Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Atlanta. Named "Ant-Man" by his father, he averaged 25.7 ppg, 9.6 rpg, and 2.7 apg in his senior year. He played in McDonald's All-American Game in 2019.
