American professional basketball team from Minneapolis, Minnesota, started playing in 1989. Non-randomly, the team struggled in there early years in NBA. They won only 29 games in their first seven seasons. The all-time favourite and best player of Wolves was brought up by then vice-president “Kevin Mchale” in 1995. And soon in 1996, Garnett lead the team to the playoffs and won it in the 1997-98 season.
The veteran guards, Latrell Sprewell and Sam Cassell were added to the Timberwolves before the 2003-04 season. In the same season, the team won their first division title and its first playoff series.
The wolves traded Garnett in 2007, and soon after that McHale left the franchise. The new management built the team with Kevin Love (All-Start Forward) which improved the overall productivity of the team in 2013-14 leading them near to playoffs. The wolves traded Kevin Love in the following season. Then this was the worst season for the Timberwolves in NBA history, losing with (16-66) scores.
Timberwolves rebuilt the team with a centered on Karl-Anthonu Towns this time, featuring the young core like Jimmy Butler (All-Star wing). The team was led to the postseason after 14 years of the playoff drought.

In August 2022, Alex Rodriguez’ jumped into the $1.5 billion deal to acquire Minnesota Timberwolves. Alex was all set to purchase the team along with Marc Lore (Online retail Business man). The down payment ($250 million) was already made in 2021, and it was expected they will be equal partners once the deal is completed.
Alex Rodriguez is still to pay his pending amount, whereas Lore has already paid the same. The downpayment makes the stake worth 20%, which leaves 7% for Rodriguez, and 13% for Lore. According to the reports, they have the pending amount till the end of 2022, to open the opportunity to buy the additional 40% of the stake. The team is currently owned by Glen Taylor, he is a politician and local businessman who became a majority owner in 1994.
