His NBA Journey
After graduating from high school in 2013, Julius Randle went on to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky. During his one season with the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team under head coach John Calipari, he helped lead them to the NCAA Championship Game but lost against the UConn Huskies.
Nevertheless, Julius performed excellently throughout that season averaging 15 points and over ten rebounds per game earning him First-Team All-SEC honors.
Following his exceptional freshman year at Kentucky University and being named SEC Freshman of The Year, Randle declared himself eligible for the NBA draft in June 2014 and was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
