LSU basketball star Angel Reese has a renowned charismatic streak and is always hyping up her fellow Tigers student-athletes whenever they perform well in their chosen disciplines.

The latest star to benefit from Reese's praise was Bowerman Watchlist prospect and track star Alia Armstrong.

Alia Armstrong started the year with an 8.10 time in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday at the Carl Maddox Field House, leaving her opponents in her wake as she easily ate up the ground with the crowd cheering her electric performance.

She clinched the gold later on with a strong time of 8:05, the best in the nation this season.

Off the track, Angel Reese, who has an On3 NIL valuation of $1.7 million, did not waste any time in hyping up the track star. She posted a message for Armstrong on her X account with the caption:

"GET THEM OUTTA HERE LIA @aliaarmstrong_"

Alia Armstrong's bittersweet season

Alia Armstrong had a bittersweet ending to her season last year after she was disqualified twice. The first DSQ came after she pushed a hurdle with her hand at the SEC indoor championships.

The second came after she had a false start at the NCAA indoor finals. However, Armstrong soon found personal glory at the NCAA national championship in Eugene, Oregon.

She won the 100-meter hurdles NCAA outdoor semifinals with a personal best time of 12:55 before easily winning the final with a time of 12:57.

Afterward, while speaking to the assembled media, Armstrong explained how her faith was intertwined with her athletic career.

“Growing up, my mom always taught me to know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and my talent will never go unnoticed,” Armstrong said. “So every time I step on the line, I remember everything that my mother told me growing up. And I just run. I just do what I do and let go and let God.
“When I started trusting God and trusting myself and getting my relationship closer, I’m able to just let go and just run my race. Like, do what I love instead of putting pressure on myself.”

Angel Reese dominates

Angel Reese showed that her game is not all about scoring and rebounding in No. 7 LSU's dominant 87-70 victory over Texas A&M, as she registered an improved 7.0 assists to go with her 20.0 points and 18.0 rebounds.

The win was the LSU Tigers' 16th straight win in a run that looks menacing for rivals, especially now that superstar Angel Reese seems to be playing even better since her return from her mysterious absence from the team earlier in the season.
