Four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, finally graduated earlier this month. He will be heading to his dad's alma mater, Syracuse, in the fall. Before this, however, his high school basketball coach, John Buck, released a heartfelt video in dedication to Kiyan.

In the video, Buck admitted that Kiyan Anthony brought a lot of attention to the school, and he did not anticipate what the shooting guard's arrival at the school would do to the team.

"Coaching you for the past two and a half years has been an absolute pleasure," Long Island Lutheran coach John Buck said of Kiyan. "You know that when you stepped on this campus here, it brought a lot of eyes to LuHi basketball, and I'll have to admit, I wasn't quite sure what it was totally gonna entail.

"But your humility, your willingness to be coached, your willingness to buy into what we do here is something that I will always remember," Buck added. "Your resilience, after that early season injury in your senior year, really showed a lot.
"Your support of your teammates when you were out, your hard work to get back, and then, coming in helping us ride that 18-game winning streak, rise to the No. 1 in the MaxPrep national rankings, taking us to the final of the EYBL Scholastic tournament, winning the throne, achieving that MVP," he said.

He then wished Kiyan Anthony well as he heads to Syracuse:

"But as you head off to Syracuse, I'm so excited to see you take those lessons. To see you take those talents that you have, that are undeniable, and go make an impact in the ACC. Super proud of you, Kiy, and you certainly left your mark on this program," he said.
