Bronny James and his brother Bryce are in Paris to support their father, LeBron James, as he leads Team USA to gold. The James brothers were in attendance to watch the USA overcome a 17-point deficit to win 95-91 over Serbia and advance to the finals.

After one season with the USC Trojans, Bronny James declared for the 2024 NBA draft and was picked No. 55 by the Los Angeles Lakers. He made his pro-league debut during the Summer League games.

Although LeBron James once shared that he hopes to play alongside his son in the NBA, it will have to wait a bit longer. The Athletic's Jovan Buha wrote that the Lakers feel like Bronny is far from ready for the league and will spend his first year in the G-league.

"And though Bronny James had an impressive end to summer league, at least by his modest expectations, the Lakers plan on using him primarily in the G League as he remains far from a rotation-caliber player," Buha wrote.

Bronny James played four games in the Summer League and averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and one assist.

Meanwhile, Bryce James is preparing for his final season of high school basketball at Sierra Canyon. He also had an impressive summer in circuit basketball and now has to choose his college future. Bryce has received two offers from Ohio State and Duquesne.

LeBron James shares his thoughts on potentially playing alongside his son, Bronny James

Just over a year ago, LeBron James and his family experienced a serious health emergency when Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice session with the USC Trojans. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Bronny was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease and underwent surgery. He spent the summer in recovery and made his college debut in December. It is important to consider the effect that the surgery had on his performance.

Despite all the adversities, the young guard persevered and LeBron James has expressed how proud he is, saying:

“Obviously it’s a dream come true,” James said, via CBS Sports. “For me, to see my son be able to be in the NBA alone, it’s always been a dream of his. For us to be there side by side, words are lost, let’s be honest. The kid has worked so hard to get back to this point.

"Just so much has happened over the last year with him. To have this happen less than a year from his incident. To be with our friends and our family when they announced his name is something that was super surreal. Our family still doesn’t have enough words to explain the feeling that we had.“
