After his standout performances during Nebraska's March Madness run, Keisei Tominaga is back in his home country. The guard will be a part of the national team presenting Japan at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
In preparation for the games in July, Japan hosted Australia for the Nippon Life Cup 2024 in Sapporo, Hokkaido. During Saturday's game against Australia Select, Keisei Tominaga made a three-pointer and celebrated it with Stephen Curry's iconic celebration mimicking Kevin McCallister from Home Alone.
Tominaga reposted the video to his Instagram story and wrote:
"Did I do it right???😱😱 @stephencurry30"

Keisei Tominaga finished with 14 points as Akatsuki Japan and Australia drew 95-95. During Saturday's game, Akatsuki lost 90-89. Japan will next host South Korea for a similar round of games in July right before the Olympics.
During his three-year career with the Cornhuskers, Keisei Tominaga averaged 11.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists while shooting 46.2% from the floor and 37.4% from the three-point range. After a ten-year break, Nebraska made their March Madness appearance in 2024 but lost 98-83 to Texas A&M in the first round.
Keisei Tominaga signs multi-year shoe deal with the Curry Brand
Earlier this month, Keisei Tominaga and The Curry Brand signed a deal as he became the company's first international athlete. The multi-year partnership will see the guard act as the brand ambassador while wearing their footwear and apparel on-court.
Besides Tominaga, the brand's other athlete signings include De’Aaron Fox and MiLaysia Fulwiley. In a statement, the "Japanese Steph Curry" said:
“It is an incredible honor to join Curry Brand and be among its elite roster of athletes. Steph has always been one of my basketball heroes and I have worked hard to emulate his game in my own basketball career, so to be able to represent his brand and everything he stands for is a dream come true.” (via Curry Brand)
Curry also welcomed the young star to the fold as he said in the statement:
“We are excited to have Keisei join the Curry Brand family as we continue to extend our mission internationally. He has a dedication to the game and continues to be an inspiration for athletes across the globe.

Having exhausted all five years of college eligibility, Keisei Tominaga's next plans before the summer Olympics include the NBA draft. While he has not been included in mock drafts, the guard is hopeful of a selection.
