Kansas star Hunter Dickinson kicked Duke’s Maliq Brown, resulting in his ejection from the college basketball showdown on Tuesday. Fans were left fuming at the incident as the top-ranked Jayhawks defeated the 11th-ranked Duke Blue Devils 75-72 to extend their unbeaten start to the season to 6-0.

One user mentioned Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, drawing reference to his infamous technical foul record (20 or more technicals in the past five NBA seasons), while other fans expressed their displeasure.

“Draymond would be suspended for this why don’t they do this for college repeat players ?” one fan said.
Another fan commented: “Hunter Dickinson is a loser man lol. Just dirty.”
“Bad sportsmanship. Keep it out of the game,” another fan said.

In reaction to a video of the incident posted online, other fans had contrary opinions as they dropped comments in favor of Dickinson.

“This is the softest call, and it makes it 100% worse that they gave that call to duke who’s notorious for having dirty players,” a fan responded.
"Basketball players gotta be some of the softest human beings on the earth. There's no way that's an ejectable offense,” another fan said.
“i don’t think this was ejection worthy tho,” a fan commented.

Bill Self reacts to Kansas Jayhawks' victory

Kansas Jayhawks coach Bill Self was all smiles as he faced the media after the Jayhawks defeated the Blue Devils.

“That team we played today can win the national championship,” Self said. “That was fun. That was a toughness win. Three games we’ve played, two of them were instant classics against (then-No. 9 North) Carolina (a 92-89 win earlier this month) and Duke. We’re fortunate to win both.”

Kansas’ Dejuan Harris Jr. led the team with 14 points, nine assists and three rebounds, followed closely by Zeke Mayo with 12 points, four assists and two rebounds.

Kansas has averaged 82.2 points, 36.8 rebounds, 20.2 assists and 68.3 points allowed per game. The Jayhawks are set to face the Furman Paladins (on Saturday), Creighton Bluejays (Dec. 4) and Missouri Tigers (Dec. 7).
