Jake West, a four-star combo guard, recently announced his top five schools, and fans are already predicting his next destination. He is considering North Western, VCU, Florida, Coastal Carolina, and UNC Charlotte.
On Wednesday, Slam HS reported on Instagram that West narrowed his scholarship offers to five and asked hoops fans to predict where he would commit next year.
Fans across the country started weighing in immediately in the comment section.
"i’ll bet money rn he goes to florida 😹," one fan confidently wrote.
"Northwestern, they have coaches with good morals and playoff experience," another person responded.
"Florida or northwestern a go fasho," one user chimed in.
"I wanna see him at a school where he gonna play instantly," a fan said.
"It’s not gonna be any of them good school it’s gonna be Coastal Carolina and he’s gonna carry them then transfer," another one added.
"He goin VCU cs they got a chance to make the tournament every year but they not the best so he can be that x factor," one fan predicted him to join Virginia.

Jake West gave his honest opinion about his school options
Jake West received around 15 offers from Division I schools, including Mississippi State, Florida, Buffalo, Northeastern, and Penn State. Alabama, Purdue, Virginia, and Buffalo have also contacted him.
In an interview with ZAGSBLOG this summer, he discussed weighing the options in-depth and also gave his opinion on individual schools.
Coastal Carolina:
"I think just the way that they recruit me. Every coach, I feel like I get a call from them everyday. So they’re really into me and I know the whole staff already which is kind of cool."
Charlotte:
"Coach [Aaron] Fearne, he really likes my game. I like the way that he likes my game because he shows me my feel for the game and the way I compete ... So he’s been talking to me a lot, and I’m really appreciative of that."
Florida:
"Coach [Kevin] Hovde hit me up. I think with Florida, I just like where it is. Florida [is] an amazing place. The SEC is a great conference too, and they’re a great program."
In the Nike EYBL Peach Jam this summer, Jake West averaged 11.0 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game for Team Final. He scored 14 points in a win against Kyan Anthony's Team Melo.
