The final rosters for Dan Hurley's UConn Huskies and Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks are almost set, with only a few spots left. While the Huskies attempt for a three-peat, the Jayhawks are preparing for their fifth championship.

With the transfer portal and the NBA draft, there have been drastic changes in the teams. Fans on X have discussed about who has the better chance of winning the championship.

Some argued that the Huskies have a positive streak running and have the best coach in the country to help it secure another win:

"I'm gonna put my money on Uconn."
"Kansas on paper but Hurley's coaching will make UConn the better performing roster in Feb/Mar," one fan wrote.
"Kansas will be watching on the couch while UConn three-peats," another fan commented.
"The one with Dan Hurley coaching. As an IU fan, it doesn’t pain me one bit to admit the dude is the best in the business right now," one user commented
"The school with the coach that has shown he can develop players and went back to back," another fan said

Meanwhile, other fans believe that Kansas has strengthened its roster immensely after last year's disaster, with additions from the portal.

"Kansas clears by a mile and a half in my unbiased opinion," one user wrote.
"From a pure roster standpoint, Kansas no question," a fan wrote.
"That UConn roster is embarrassingly bad," another commented.

UConn and Kansas rosters for the 2024-25 season

The Huskies lost two players, Cam Spencer and Tristen Newton, to college eligibility, as both exhausted their five years.

Moreover, three players have declared for the draft, with only Alex Karaban maintaining his eligibility. Based on his performances in the NBA Combine from May 12, it's unlikely that he will return.

For the new season, Dan Hurley has added Aidan Mahaney and Tarris Reed Jr. from the transfer portal. The Huskies also have Isaiah Abraham, Liam McNeeley and Ahmad Nowell joining from the 2024 recruiting class.

For the Kansas Jayhawks, Kevin McCullar Jr., Nicolas Timberlake, Parker Braun, Michael Jankovich and Johnny Furphy (9.0 PPG) have all departed. Zeke Mayo, AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen have been added from the transfer portal, while star player Hunter Dickinson is set to return.

Flory Bidunga and Rakease Passmore are the two incoming freshmen. This is not all, as coach Self is expected to add more players to the roster.
