Iowa State guard Jada Williams took a heartfelt moment on Father’s Day to honor one of the most important figures in her life, her dad, Jeffery Williams. In an Instagram post on Sunday, Williams affectionately referred to him as “Pops” or “CA” in a touching tribute. The 5-foot-8 sophomore shared a photo collage filled with cherished memories alongside an emotional message of gratitude and love.

The collage featured a series of snapshots that captured Jada’s close bond with her dad over the years. In one photo, the two were seen smiling inside a training facility. Another image showed them hugging on the basketball court, which highlighted the emotional support from her father.

"Happy Father’s CA aka Pops,” Williams wrote. "God knew I needed you in my life!! I have no idea where I’d be at without you. Thank you for challenging not only my physical but my mental!! Little Jada always dreamed of having pops like you."

Jada's message highlighted the impact her father had on her both on and off the court. She continued by thanking him for pushing her boundaries, which included a move to the Iowa State Cyclones during the offseason. The former five-star recruit at Arizona announced her decision to transfer to Iowa State on Apr. 2. During an interview after the transfer, the guard shared her excitement about the move.

"I'm super excited," Williams said. "I'm super excited to be a Cyclone."

During her two seasons at Arizona, Williams appeared in 63 games, starting 58 of them, averaging 11 points, 2.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game. She made it clear that she was aiming high while discussing her goals for her new program.

"Our goal is to win a national championship next year," Williams said. "So, we're about to start putting in work in the next couple of months and get to it."

With the 2025-26 college basketball season on the horizon, Iowa State guard Jada Williams starts preparing for the challenges ahead. The guard was recently seen grinding through an offseason training session.

In an Instagram video shared by Active Sports Performance on Jun. 6, Jada was back in the gym, locked in on her strength and conditioning routine. Wearing a bright pink workout top and black shorts, Jada powered through a variety of exercises under the supervision of her trainer.

“Ms. @cbg.jada24 back in the building for another session!” the caption read.

The workout featured a combination of resistance training and movement drills. At one point, Jada was seen performing dips on a parallel bar, with her trainer close behind offering guidance and motivation.

In another segment, Jada performed single-arm kettlebell drills, focusing on balance, coordination and functional strength. The training session drew praise from fans and fellow athletes in the comment section, with some dropping flame emojis in recognition of Williams' dedication.
