UConn coach Dan Hurley announced that he will be doing personalized videos for fans on Cameo to raise money for UConn Athletics. On Tuesday, the Huskies shared a video of Hurley explaining the initiative on X (formerly called Twitter).

In the clip, the two-time national champion coach said that he's ready to celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, bachelorette parties and more with fans, friends and foes alike.

One can request the video via the Cameo website, where they can customize their request for Dan Hurley, like asking him to share jokes or words of wisdom, among other things.

However, as soon as the announcement was made, fans flooded the comments section with mixed reactions. Here's a look at a few of them:

"Uconn is broke?," one fan wrote.
"Damn talk about being desperate for money. Bunch of brokies!," another one said.
"I can finally have Coach Hurley talk smack to my cousin Duke fan," a fan joked.
"If I need motivation can he yell at me? I’m Serious btw," one asked.
"Hahaha genius, coach putting in work!" another commented.
"Can you re create the iconic tunnel momment with me," one chimed in.

The revenue generated through the initiative will be used to support UConn's NIL collective and athletic programs.

Analyst believes Dan Hurley built toughest nonconference schedule in UConn history

As an attempt to refurbish the program's reputation and prepare for the rigors of Big East play, UConn coach Dan Hurley constructed a challenging nonconference schedule for the upcoming season.

Last season, the Huskies lost their way to 24-11 overall. Hurley doesn't want to repeat that this time, so he's putting his players to the test before conference play begins.

"UConn is a program that has won six national championships during the last 26 years. And with all that said, the Huskies, going back to the heyday of Jim Calhoun in the 90s and the 2000s, have never played a non-conference schedule like the one they will play next season," CBS Sports analyst Jon Rothstein said on X.

UConn will compete in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden, where they face national champions Florida. They will also square off against Kansas, Arizona and BYU in nonconference play.
