The book titled "Never Stop: Life, Leadership, and What It Takes to Be Great" discussed Dan Hurley's journey and the pressures of being the son of Hall of Fame high school coach Bob Hurley Sr and the brother of Duke star and NBA veteran Bobby Hurley. The 336-page book will be available to the public on Sept. 30.

Two months before the official release, Hurley wrote a heartfelt note on X about the process of co-authoring the book and how it changed his views on life and the sport of basketball.

"This has been a fun and thorough project to work on. Its helped my perspective by retracing my steps and by being so honest about the journey…👊🏻I hope it inspires, helps and entertains a lot of people!," Hurley tweeted.

The book also detailed his bouts of anxiety and depression as a player and a coach and how he was able to conquer the issues and guide the Huskies to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2023 and 2024.

It also contains his leadership philosophies and methods in building a winning team, and Dan Hurley hopes to inspire more people who are venturing down a similar path.

Dan Hurley's UConn ranks third in USA Today's Too-Early Top 25 Rankings

After a disappointing 2024-25 season where they were ousted by eventual champion Florida in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Dan Hurley and UConn focused on rebuilding their team to make it more competitive and once again contend for the national championship.

The Huskies acquired highly-rated high school recruits (Braylon Mullins and Eric Reibe) and transfers (Silas Demary Jr. and Malachi Smith) to blend with their returning stars Alex Karaban and Solo Ball.

The additions generated buzz in the college basketball circles, and USA Today ranked UConn No. 3 behind Duke and Houston in its Too-Early Top 25 Rankings after the transfer portal and the NBA draft.

"Three in a row wasn’t in the cards, but a third title in four years isn’t out of the question for UConn," it noted. "Liam McNeeley is gone after just one year in Storrs, but reinforcements are coming for Danny Hurley, whose top-five recruiting class features a pair of McDonald’s All-Americans and an international prospect from Down Under."

UConn will have an exhibition game against Boston College on Oct. 13 before it plunges into nonconference action in the first week of November. Among the nonconference teams that the Huskies scheduled this season are the AJ Dybantsa-led BYU (Nov. 15), Arizona (Nov. 19), Kansas (Dec. 2), Florida (Dec. 9) and Texas (Dec. 12).
