Miami Hurricanes hooper Hanna Cavinder returned to college basketball after a year-long hiatus. She and her twin sister Haley decided to play for the Tricia Cullop squad after leading the Canes to the 2023 Elite Eight round of the NCAAW championship tournament. As Hanna gained recognition as an impressive college basketball player, so did her relationship with the Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck.
In one of the latest TikToks posted by the Cavinder twins, Hanna and her sisters, Haley and Natalie, participated in a social media trend where they leave the Thanksgiving table when asked questions that they don't want to answer.
Natalie moves away after being asked "When are you moving here," while Haley avoids conversation after:
"when they ask when is your boyfriend's (Jake Ferguson) next football game but not about your basketball game"
Haley Cavinder leaves after being asked:
"What's the Cavinder Curse"
Entering the 2024-25 college football season, Beck was considered a first-round pick but his back-to-back interceptions created doubts in fans and analysts' minds. Fans came up with the concept of "Cavinder Curse," believing Carson's performance was affected by his relationship with Hanna.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder tried to dispel the "Cavinder Curse" myth
The Georgia Bulldogs played against Tennessee on November 16 and won 31-17. It was one of Beck's best games, throwing for 346 yards, two touchdowns and one rushing score. His renewed form made fans and his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder happy, who took it to TikTok to dispel the "Cavinder Curse" rumor.
"listen up the Cavinder curse isn't real and needs to stop," she wrote.
After the Vols game, Carson Beck played against the UMass Minutemen and won 59-21. Hanna supported her boyfriend by not attending the game but by sporting a Carson Beck-themed cropped top and black pants.
Beck threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns despite Georgia's defense struggling on the UMass ground.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder will play against the Charlotte 46ers on Friday at the BankUnited Stadium.
