Brendan Sullivan will get his first start of the season for Iowa on Saturday when the Hawkeyes host Wisconsin in Week 10. He will step in for the injured Cade McNamara, who is dealing with a concussion.
Sullivan transferred to Iowa from Northwestern in the offseason. He served as the backup to McNamara, who started in the team's first eight games before he was sidelined.
In the few opportunities that he has had this season, Sullivan has managed to complete 11 of 16 passes for 93 yards and thrown a touchdown. He has also rushed for 77 yards and three touchdowns across six games.
The Hawkeyes also have Marco Lainez as Sullivan's backup if coach Kirk Ferentz wants another option from his bench.
