Kansas vs BYU: Preview

Kansas is a three-point underdog on the road while the over/under is set at 56 points.
The Jayhawks are coming off an upset win over Iowa State as Kansas beat the Cyclones to return to the win column. Kansas has struggled this season but now can play spoiler for the rest of the Big 12.
Entering the game, Jayhawks coach Lance Leipold called BYU the best opponent they will face and says they have to be on their A-game to win.
"That program, after our game last year, talked about what it needed to do to be a better Big 12 team," Leipold said, via 247Sports. "I think they wanted to address their physicality, and that is very evident that they have done that. They're an extremely physical football team that's playing extremely well and confident on both sides of the ball.
"For them to come through their rivalry game, an exciting game last week, find a way to win on the road, stay undefeated, be in the college football playoff - in the thick of it - and playing for a conference championship. They deserve this. We have a lot of respect for them. We know it's going to be a unique challenge to go into their stadium and to play in that environment. We're going to need to be at our best," Leipold added.
Kansas is led by Jalon Daniels who has thrown for 1,816 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. Devin Neal has rushed for 874 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Luke Grimm has caught 505 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
On defense, the Jayhawks are led by Mello Dotson and Cobee Bryant who have four interceptions, Jereme Robinson has 5.5 sacks, and JB Brown has 57 tackles.
BYU, meanwhile, is undefeated and rallied to defeat Utah to keep its perfect season alive. The Cougars had a questionable flag to help keep a drive alive and kick the game-winning field goal.
“Obviously we didn’t play our best, especially in the first half. We talked about it at halftime. We thought 30 minutes was still enough time for us to come back and get a victory,” coach Kalani Sitake said, via Deseret.com.
The Cougars are led by Jake Retzlaff, who has thrown for 2,091 yards 18 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. LJ Martin has rushed for 425 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns, while Chase Roberts leads the team with 588 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
Defensively, BYU is led by Jakob Robinson has 3 interceptions, Jack Kelly has 4 sacks, and Harrison Taggart has 57 tackles.
The Cougars will stay undefeated here as BYU's offense should be able to succeed against Kansas. BYU had a close game last week after a bad first half and should come out much better here in the first half to edge out a win
Prediction: BYU 33, Kansas 28
