Deion Sanders Jr. opened up about his tough times on "Reach The People Podcast" on July 24. Talking to former defensive end and host Darius Sanders, Sanders Jr. reflected on his recent struggles and admitted to feeling emotionally drained.
Sanders Jr. shared that the constant setbacks had taken a toll on him. When the podcast clip was shared on Instagram, his father, Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders, responded to his son’s emotional recollection.
“This is good stuff son straight from your heart! I don’t like the cussing but I understand,” Coach Prime wrote.

Sanders Jr. felt worn out from constant struggle, during those times as success seemed elusive despite his hard work.
“That's... Some nights I would, like, 2, 3 a.m., walk around, like, downtown Dallas and just, like, and I'm just crying my heart out… like, God, what's going on?” he added.
“Like... Bro, I'm more talented than everybody doing different things. Bro, I'm actually really, really good at this sh*t, at specific things. It's like, what the f*ck? Like, why am I not winning, bro?,” Sanders Jr. said.
Colorado RB Sy’Veon Wilkerson also showed support, writing:
“Winning at life now.”

Despite feelings of rejection and denial, Sanders Jr. emphasized that these challenges helped him become a soldier ready to fight for success.
Deion Sanders Jr. reflects, his last name a curse or blessing?
Deion Sanders Jr. shared the intriguing origins of "Well Off," which started in high school as "Off Millionaires" before evolving into "Well Off Society." He began managing social media accounts for his father, Coach Prime, and Jackson State University.
“I was only doing it on Instagram, I really didn't know much about YouTube, but I would post it on YouTube occasionally. But, and you just keep going and seeing what it could do, and it's like, God damn, you can make this much money, like, that's crazy,” Deion Sanders Jr. said.

Darius then asked Sanders Jr. an intriguing question about his last name, a curse or blessing:
"You've been blessed with a good name, you share with your father,” Darius said. “What do you think is the biggest blessing and the biggest curse of being named after your dad? And knowing what you know now, would you name your son after you?" [TImestamp - 20:13]
Deion Sanders Jr. aka ‘Bucky’ responded:
“The biggest blessing is just, it's a name, but it's like he worked his ass off to make his name.”
However, Sanders Jr. growing up with a famous name said he never liked to tell people his last name:
“My dad's a man. I never lived with my dad like that. My dad's never just been, that's giving you sh*t. He's a great, caring, giving person, don't get me wrong,” he said.
“But his kids, he wanted to grow up like ‘no, bro, you going to go get that,’ like I said, ‘I gave you a name, do something with it.’ And then it's like, cool. I used to never like telling people my name, I hated that.”
"I would just say DJ… I hate it, telling people, because it's like you just want to get that on your own. Like, I want you to respect me."
Deion Sanders Jr added that people often want to know him for superficial reasons rather than his true self.
