Former Ole Miss star quarterback Jaxson Dart is preparing for the start of his NFL career. After four college seasons, Dart was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. However, while Dart is ready to start his NFL career, his younger brother Diesel is still a few years away from starting his college career.
On Tuesday, Diesel Dart posted on his Instagram story, announcing that he received an offer from the Utah Utes.
"UTAH OFFERED," Diesel Dart wrote.

Jaxson Dart reposted the post to his Instagram story with a simple heart emoji reaction.

While Dart has started to receive offers, he is still likely at least a year away from committing. He is set to star this college career with the class of 2027. Classified simply as an athlete, he is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports.
Dart plays for Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah. He is the No. 47-ranked athlete in the nation, according to 247Sports and the No. 7-ranked prospect in his class from Utah. He will likely continue to receive offers in the coming months but is unlikely to commit for at least another year.
As Diesel Dart receives college offers, the plan for Jaxson Dart with the NY Giants comes together
Both Diesel and Jaxson Dart are getting ready for the next stage in their college careers. However, for Jaxson Dart, it is a little more immediate. The former Ole Miss star is preparing for his first NFL season. As a first-round pick, he is expected to be the Week 1 starter. However, the exact plan for his rookie season is being kept under wraps by the coaching staff.
Last week, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka spoke about the plan for Dart:
"I think whenever you draft a quarterback early, you want to have a plan or some semblance of a plan or schedule put in place to understand that it's not really a one-week; it’s a six-month, one-year, two-year type plan for really any player."
Dart was always a good QB, but he emerged as a star in his senior year. He completed 276 of 298 passing attempts for 4279 yards and 29 TDs. This led to him becoming the second QB taken in the draft, ahead of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, to the surprise of many college football pundits.
