While Caleb Williams achieved great success in his college football career, including a Heisman Trophy, he had begun gaining recognition from his high school days. Talking about his beginnings on The Pivot Podcast, the NFL-bound quarterback walked fans through the craziest game of his high school career.

It was the Washington Catholic Championship game between Gonzaga College High School and DeMatha Catholic in 2018. Williams led Gonzaga to a big comeback win over their rivals on his birthday in his sophomore year in high school. Here is what went through his mind when they initially went down.

“We went down 20 points in the first quarter quickly, I mean, it was like it was like six minutes left in the first quarter we were down we were down. Eight minutes I think actually. So after we go down, it's more or less a take one drive at a time. Focus on what you can control," Williams told Ryan Clark and Co.

He continued:

There's a lot of ball left and something that you always preach and as everybody knows how you can only win the game in the fourth quarter. Yeah, and so that's what it that's what it came down to. And we end up getting to the the craziest game I've ever been a part of".

He spoke about the high of feeling like Tom Brady when the team led with 30 seconds and then the low of immediately falling behind to an incredible kickoff return. In the end, Williams managed to lead the team to a 46-43 win on the day.
