Fans are reacting to the new role of influencer and former collegiate hooper Rachel A DeMita at Duke Football. The program announced on Thursday that DeMita will take over as the new in-venue video board producer and social media game day host.

DeMita has a decade of experience in the NBA and NCAA as a host and reporter. She has worked for various platforms and was a CBS Sports commentator this summer. She is also the architect behind the success of "Courtside Club," which garnered 100 million viewers in two years. The digital show features interviews with top athletes and commentary on sports and pop culture.

Duke Football's X/Twitter page posted a video clip in which Rachel A DeMita expressed her happiness over the news:

"What's up, you guys? I am Rachel DeMita Host and content creator. You guys might have seen my work on NBA 2KTV, The Big3, or my show Courtside Club. I am so excited for my new adventure with Duke Football. You guys will see me in the stadium for every single home game and on social media. I'm so excited to get started!"

Rachel A DeMita brings vast experience to Duke

This summer, DeMita worked as a reporter for Ice Cube's Big3. Throughout her media career, she has donned multiple roles and worked with several organizations, including NBA 2KTV, DraftKings TV, The NFL and Bleacher Report, among others.

Duke's next season will start on August 30 against Elon under the mentorship of new head coach Manny Diaz. Duke won the Birmingham Bowl last season, and Diaz will try to build on that success. Rachel A DeMita's media presence will make future victories sweeter for Duke fans.
