"I don't respect Chip Kelly" - Delaware State HC DeSean Jackson rips ex-Ohio State OC for ruining Eagles' core ft. Michael Vick

Chip Kelly has had an up-and-down coaching career. Most fans view him in a positive light right now because of his role in helping the Ohio State Buckeyes win the national championship as the team's offensive coordinator. His successful 2024 with the Buckeyes earned him the same role, but in the NFL, with the Las Vegas Raiders next season.

While most people think positively about Kelly now, that was not always the case. He was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 2013 to 2015 during a three-season stretch that was highly disappointing. The team qualified for the playoffs once but lost in the wild-card game to the New Orleans Saints in 2013.

On Saturday, the ML Football X account posted a clip about Delaware State head coach and former NFL player DeSean Jackson talking about his experience with Chip Kelly on the Eagles. He spoke about how he does not respect Kelly because he is responsible for dismantling what he viewed as a strong team.

"I don't respect Chip Kelly," Jackson said. "That's just what it comes down to. I don't like giving him clickbait or whatever they want to call this sh*t, but I'm a real one, and I just speak on it, bro. What he did, bro, you can talk to anybody who was ever a Philadelphia Eagles fan, bro. They'll you the same thing. He dismantled that team, bro.

"There is no way you get rid of DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin. On and on, like, you know what I'm saying? You already broke down the team, bro, and we were Philadelphia."

Chip Kelly was fired during his third season in Philadelphia

DeSean Jackson is not a fan of Chip Kelly because of their time together in Philadelphia, and the Eagles seemed to come around on that sentiment eventually. They fired him before the last game of his third season with the Eagles.

After getting fired, Kelly was hired as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers for the next season. However, after a disastrous season where the team went 2-14, Kelly was fired again.

Kelly then went many seasons before he got another opportunity in the NFL. He was the head coach of the UCLA Bruins from 2018 to 2023 before getting hired as the offensive coordinator at Ohio State this past season. Now he is getting another NFL opportunity as the offensive coordinator of the Las Vegas Raiders.
